Terms of Service
Last updated October 22, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Health Hive for using Project Spotlight. By creating an account you agree to them.
Who may use it
You must be 18 or older and a licensed clinician (or a clinician whose license application is in progress) using your own identity. Everything you submit for verification must be yours and accurate. One account per person; a license may be claimed by only one account.
Verification
By submitting your license you authorize us to confirm it with your state licensing board and the NPPES registry, now and on a schedule afterwards, and to display the resulting status and badges on your profile.
Verification reflects what official sources report at the time of the check. It is not a guarantee of licensure, a credentialing decision, or legal advice. If a source is wrong, you can dispute a check and we will re-run it against the source.
Badges and profile
Badges are computed from verified data and your logged records; they can lapse or be removed when the data stops supporting them. You may not misrepresent your credentials, upload documents that aren't yours, or log CEUs you didn't complete. We may suspend accounts that do.
Not a consumer reporting agency
Project Spotlight is a professional profile you own and choose to share; it is not a consumer report. You may not use information from the platform to make decisions about employment eligibility, credit, insurance or housing in the manner of a consumer report, and employers using the platform agree the same. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: FCRA posture — see docs/spec.md §9.]
Subscriptions and payments
The free tier includes license verification, CEU tracking and job-listing access. Premium is a monthly subscription billed by Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe; it renews automatically until you cancel, and cancelling keeps Premium until the end of the paid period. Prices can change with notice before your next renewal.
CEU course purchases, when the library opens, are one-time payments with their refund terms shown at purchase. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: refund policy.]
Acceptable use
No scraping, probing or disrupting the service; no attempting to access anyone else's data; no uploading malware or unlawful content; no using the service to harass or discriminate.
Your content
You own what you upload. You give us the limited license needed to store, process and display it to run the service as described in the Privacy Policy — including showing it to employers only with your consent.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as-is. We work hard to keep verification and tracking accurate, but you remain responsible for meeting your board's requirements and deadlines — the tracker is an aid, not a substitute for your board's official word.
To the extent the law allows, Health Hive is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is capped at the greater of $100 or what you paid us in the past 12 months. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: liability cap and warranty language.]
Ending an account
You can stop using the service or ask us to delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, misrepresent credentials, or create risk for other users, with notice where practical.
The legal frame
These terms are governed by New Jersey law. If a dispute arises we'll try to resolve it informally first. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: venue, arbitration, class-action posture.]
If these terms change materially we'll tell you in the app or by email before the change applies. Questions: gabriel@hlthhv.com.
